Documentation for controls and machines is mostly a controller/timer manual. The documentation for timer models that are "in production" can be obtained for a small price but manuals that are out of print will cost much more. As much as $350.00 each. Proper controller documentation is important to have for 3 reasons: First and formost is the safety information and safety warnings in the manuals. Second is the trouble shooting information which should help you get back into production very quickly. The final reason is training and programming because the manuals are supposed to help you install, program and operate the machine. An additional reason, that does not apply to all resistance welding users, is ISO 9000 or QC 9000 requirements.
There are many used resistance welding machines that have been re-sold, re-deployed, moved, or re-built and most of them don't have documentation with them. Purchasing documentation may or may not be a benefit. If you expect certian information to be in the documentation it might not be. Some companies do a very good job with documentation and others not very well at all. If you have a need for documentation then send us an e-mail with all of the information so we can help you.
